The new telephone numbering system in Cameroon

As from   November 21, 2014 at midnight, the new telephone numbering system in Cameroon will change from 8 to nine digits. MTN, Orange and Nexttel numbers will begin with “six” while Camtel numbers will start with “two”.

This shift from 8 to 9 nine digits  is Cameroon’s third numbering system in 13 years after moving from 7 digits in 2001 to 8 in 2007.

 As of November 21 , users  shall :
