Entrepreneurial Women in Cameroon Transform Plastic Waste Into Wealth

Excess waste in Cameroon’s cities and towns causes environmental pollution and public health hazards. Women here have found a business opportunity in the waste that gathers in the city’s streets by recycling it into jewelry. While citizens wait for a new national decree reducing the use of plastic to take effect, the entrepreneurs of Bamenda continue to turn waste into wealth.
